Lindy Pendzick, Voice Teacher
Lindy Pendzick is passionate about the performing arts and equally passionate about teaching. She believes in the power and beauty music creates and is honored to work with fellow singers as they explore their own vocal journey.
As a teacher, Lindy is committed to creating a safe, comfortable, and encouraging learning environment. Lindy helps students apply healthy vocal technique to repertoire of all musical styles. Her goal is to inspire students to reach outside of their comfort zones and explore their own potential.
As a performing artist, Lindy is committed to personal growth and striving for excellence. Her goal is to touch hearts and create meaningful experiences for audience members and fellow musicians through her singing and performances.
Originally from Palatka, Florida, Lindy earned a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Stetson University and a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from The Ohio State University where she also served as a graduate teaching assistant for the vocal department. A highly acclaimed vocalist and actor, Lindy has worked with opera and theater companies across the United States and has performed internationally. Some of her favorite roles include Maria von Trapp in The Sound of Music, Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady, Cosette in Les Miserables, Shelby in Steel Magnolias, Annie Sullivan in The Miracle Worker, Sarah Brown in Guys and Dolls, Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors, and Marian Paroo in The Music Man.
Lindy currently performs as a guest artist with American Cruise Lines on riverboats that cruise on the beautiful Columbia River. She presents her one-woman Broadway and classical revue show “Lindy On A High Note” to cruising guests. She began her riverboat career in 2007 here in the Pacific Northwest and quickly fell in love with this part of the country. She currently lives in Ridgefield, Washington with her wonderful husband Greg, daughter Liliana, and son Orion. When not performing or teaching, Lindy loves to play board games, hike, swim, and take her children to parks and playgrounds. Her personal motto is
“Keep a smile on your face and a song in your heart!”
