While exploring exciting and diverse musical styles, this group empowers participants to be holistic, mindful singing artists. Focusing on the skills and attention required to create dynamic ensemble performances, participants will learn the potency of singing together. Ultimately, we will learn that we are not alone. We will learn that there is endless possibility with our singing. And we will unlock the full potential to express ourselves through our voices.

How To Register:
Enrollment for SoulSinging is on a rolling basis with a month-to-month commitment. Students may join with a minimum of a four week commitment (pending availability). Each month includes 4 classes, performances, workshops, or other singing experiences. |
Beginning
Beginning voice students have little or no music training. Some beginning students may have sung in a choir or other musical group or have studied a musical instrument. Other beginners simply have the desire to sing and wish to explore the use of their voice for the first time. Most of these students have limited or no experience reading sheet music. |
Intermediate
Intermediate singers have at least one year of experience singing in a band, choir, vocal ensemble, or other musical group. They have some experience performing in public and display awareness of pitch and rhythm when singing. Other intermediate singers may be new to singing but have extensive experience playing an instrument. Intermediate students have utilitarian knowledge of sheet music and music theory. |
Advanced
Advanced students have taken at least one year of voice lessons at Resound NW or with another experienced voice teacher. They have performed in public numerous times as a soloist or as a member of a musical group, showing keen awareness of pitch, rhythm, musical shape, and tone quality. Although there are exceptions, most advanced students read sheet music well. |
"I think SoulSinging is superb and Daniel is a complete delight as a teacher. I’m happy to report that this class was even better than I had hoped it would be...the sense of community was very apparent as everyone seemed genuinely glad to have me there. I loved the warm up and the round of singing games that were played at the beginning of class...the entire group is extra warm and supportive so that anyone will feel successful." - Nancy S.
