Caitlin Lushington, Studio Administrator
Caitlin Lushington is a queer teacher and an artist gathering wisdom on how to build nourishing, sustainable creative lives in the midst of systems of supremacy.
Caitlin is the co-founder of Enso Theatre Ensemble, and has taught, directed, and performed with a variety of companies, including the Utah Shakespeare Festival, the Third Rail Mentorship Company, Enso Theatre Ensemble, and at high schools and universities both local and abroad. She holds an MFA in Actor Training & Coaching from The Royal Central School of Speech & Drama in London, where she researched socio-cultural contributors to student burnout in actor training.
Currently, she offers workshops and coaches actors, teachers, and creatives in-person and online. Her work intentionally straddles the boundary between creativity as an art form, and creativity as a therapeutic practice. Supporting her ability to traverse this boundary with care and responsibility is her 10+ year mindfulness practice and her certification in Mental Health First Aid.
Outside the theatre, Caitlin is an avid lover of table-top role-playing games like Dungeons and Dragons, tea drinking, ritual, and history, and enjoys long walks through the forests of the Pacific Northwest. She is delighted to be part of the team at Resound NW, and to be gradually bringing her voice outside the safety of her car jams and back into public spaces. She is loved and supported by her long-time partner and their feisty kitty, Bean.
