You’ve got a song you love. You’ve learned the notes, the rhythms...now what? How do you make it your own? How do you make it your song?
Taught by international performer Estelí Gomez, “Your Voice, Your Song” is an engaging workshop to take music off the page and on your feet in performance. Using song examples from jazz, contemporary pop, and opera styles, students will learn to bring individual creativity to standard tunes and cover songs. The workshop will incorporate group singing and opportunities for individual coaching.
No preparation for this workshop is necessary. Song examples will be taught and explored in class together. Just come prepared to sing and learn!
